Description: Were there considerable changes in entrepreneurial inclinations during the change of economic regimes in Hungary between 1988 and 1990? This paper seeks to answer this question by drawing upon data from two nationwide samples of Hungarians, which showed that the number expressing inclinations to enterprise rose from 25 percent to 44 per cent in a two-year time period. Multivariate statistical methods are employed to test the influence upon entrepreneurial inclinations -- age and sex; family background; knowledge; and social connections.
