SPP 388

Author: Richard Rose

Description: The thirteenth nationwide New Russia Barometer (NRB) survey combines questions appropriate to a post-election survey and questions that monitor any changes occurring in the underlying attitudes and behaviour of Russians after four years of President Putin's rule. The questionnaire includes a full battery of key indicators of the social and economic conditions of the Russian people, attitudes toward democratic and undemocratic systems of government and what Russians see as the achievements and non-achievements of government under President Putin. There are also questions about expectations of the future. The extent to which younger and older Russians differ in their views of state, society and the world around them is shown by reporting all replies cross-tabulated by age.
