SPP 390

Author: Richard Rose

Description: The New Russia Barometer (NRB) monitors the response of Russians to the political and economic transformation of their society through nationwide representative sample surveys. It started in January, 1992, the first month of the new Russian Federation. Since then, NRB surveys have been conducted regularly, creating basic political, economic and social indicators such as support for the regime and undemocratic alternatives, being paid or not being paid by employers, economic expectations and patience. This SPP paper reports trend data from 13 nationwide Russian surveys up to and including the post-presidential election study in March, 2004
