SPP 376

Author: Paul Lazarsfeld Society

Description: Representative nationwide public opinion surveys were conducted in Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia in November-December, 2002. Since the same questions were asked in all three parts of the former Yugoslavia, this paper can report the results in a comparative format. The surveys had questions about political, social and economic topics, including attitudes toward present and current regimes, and national identity. Results of earlier surveys in Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia, where many of the same questions were also asked, make it possible to undertake trend analyses too. Thus, the Paul Lazarsfeld Society can monitor opinion in a wartorn part of Europe with base line figures over a decade.
