Austria

To establish how different or how similar attitudes are in post-Communist countries, the first and fifth New Democracies Barometer also included Austria. The biggest differences were qualitative: some questions could not be asked in Austria because they did not make sense, for example, questions involving comparisons between the old Communist regime and the new regime. SPP reports show differences in degree for those questions that were sufficiently comparable to be asked.
